MARGAO
Thirty-two teams from Salcete zone will feature in the GFA Third Division League 2016-17 which is slated to kick off on October 28 at Betalbatim Sports Complex, Nagoa, Manora, Panchayat ground, Raia and St John the Baptist Dando ground, Benaulim simultaneously.
The teams have been divided into six groups and top two teams from each group will qualify for the third Division Salcete zone playoff. Parish Youth, Nuvem will face St Sebastian YC, Fatoda at the Betalbatim ground, Arlem Youth Association will meet Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda at Manora ground, Varca Sports Club lock horns with Carmona Sports Club at St John the Baptist Dando ground, Benaulim in the opening matches.
The teams - Group E: Arlem Youth Association, Raia Sporting Club, Social Cultural Club, Loutolim, Our Lady of Gloria Sports Club, Shiroda Youth Club and Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda; Group F: Varca Sports Club, St Anthony's Sports Club, Colva, Dando Boys Club, Benaulim, United Club of Benaulim, United Boys of Dando and Carmona Sports Club; Group D: Cristo Rei Youth Club, Parish Youth, Nuvem, Nuvem Sports Club, Pax of Nagoa Sports Club and St Sebastian Youth Club, Fatorda; Group A: Chandor Club, Guirdolim Club, Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club, Tilamola United Sports Club and Uguem Rising Club (venue - Sao Jose de Areal); Group B - Ambelim Sports Club, CRC Chinchinim, Santa Cruz Society of Poitomodo, Dramapur Sports Club and Dicarpale Sports Club (venue - Ambelim); Group C: Navelim Sporting Club, Sirvodem Sports Club, Carmel Sports Club, Enfermos Sports Club and Sporting Club of Davorlim (venue - Sinquetim).
