Goa build solid lead after dominant bowling

In the Colonel C.K. Nayudu Trophy Elite cricket match underway at the Hostel Ground in Jammu, Goa have taken a 103-run lead over Jammu & Kashmir at the end of the second day. After securing a 79-run first-innings lead, Goa moved to 24 without loss in their second innings. Responding to Goa's first-innings total of 286, Jammu & Kashmir were bowled out for just 207, as Goa's bowlers dominated proceedings.

Resuming from their overnight score of 10 without loss, Jammu & Kashmir suffered regular setbacks on Saturday. Udhay Pratap (64) and Rydham (45) offered some resistance. However, Goa's leg-spinner Manish Kakode dismantled the opposition batting line-up. He bowled 22 overs, including seven maidens, and picked up 6 wickets for 49 runs. Left-arm spinner Anuj Yadav provided excellent support with figures of 3 for 57, while Sujay Naik claimed one wicket. At stumps on the second day, Goa openers Sarthak Bhike (13*) and Aditya Kota (11*) were unbeaten at the crease.
