MARGAO
Hosts Goa beat Telangana by four wickets to emerge winners at 11th Senior National Double Wicket cricket championship organized by Goa Double Wicket Cricket Association at Karai, Shiroda ground on Saturday.
In all 12 states participated in the tournament. In the final, Telangana batted first to post 67 in 7.1 overs. Goa easily achieved the target in 4.2 overs with four wickets in hand. For Goa, Aditya Suryavanshi and Shivam Amonkar scored 14 and 12 respectively.
Former cricketer Pranit Amonkar was the chief guest at the prize presentation ceremony and gave away the prizes in the presence of cricket organizer and State umpire Sushant Shirodkar. Also present were All India Double Wicket Cricket Federation Secretary Virendra Dahiya, Dr Jaiprakash Shukla and Anil Naik.
