Goa put up a competitive 136 for eight in their opening T20 practice match of the Oman tour, setting up a challenging chase for the hosts at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground on August 10. Oman, featuring several players with international experience, eventually reached 137 for four in 19.2 overs.

Goa opener Shivendra Bhujbal provided the early impetus with a brisk 24 off 12 balls, while Deepraj Gaonkar anchored the innings with 31 off 31 deliveries. Mohit Redkar then produced a late assault, smashing 25 off just 12 balls, including three fours and a six.

For Oman, Hassnain Ali Shah was the most successful bowler, returning figures of three for 24. Shahezad Rahim and Faisal Shah claimed two wickets apiece.

In the chase, Oman were led by opener Jatinder Singh, who scored 40 off 38 balls. Vinayak Shukla stayed unbeaten on 28 off 21 balls, while Zikria Islam struck an unbeaten 24 off 16 deliveries to take Oman across the finish line.

Goa's Vasuki Koushik was the standout bowler, taking two wickets for just 14 runs in his four overs. Deepraj Gaonkar and Vikas Singh claimed one wicket each.
