Goa Police and host Sanguem Cricketers moved into the last eight stage of Sanguem Cricketers T-20 cricket tournament played at Sanguem Cricket Academy grounds, Sanguem on Tuesday.
In the first match, Goa Police defeated Young Challengers by 4 wickets while Sanguem Cricketers
defeated Mangalmurti Club by 21 runs.
Batting first, Young Challengers scored 139 for 8 in 20 overs. Prabhav Dessai top-scored with 39 runs. He was well supported by Heramb Parab who contributed 27 runs. For Goa Police, Abhijeet Talekar was the wrecker in chief, scalping 3 for 17.
In reply, Goa Police achieved the target by scoring 143 for 6 in 14.1 overs. Swapnil Malik smashed 54. For Young Challengers, Shanu Vantamuri was the most successful bowler claiming 3 for 17.
