Goa scored 246 runs in their first innings in reply to Punjab's 635. And when the hosts were asked to follow on, Sagun Kamat's side were off to a terrible start with opener Sumiran Amonkar (5) dismissed cheaply at the team total of 15 runs. Swapnil Asnodkar was the next man to go with 26 runs to his name. At the close of play, Goa were 67/2 in 37 overs, still 322 runs short of making Punjab bat again.
