Goa suffered a 10-wicket defeat at the hands of Baroda in the in the Women's Under-15 One Day Trophy Elite tournament, on Friday. The match was played at the Dr. P.V.G. Raju ACA Cricket Complex, Vizianagaram.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Goa team managed just 64 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 35 overs. Baroda chased down the target with ease, scoring 67 runs without losing a wicket in just 10.1 overs to register a comfortable victory.
For Goa, Joya Meer (14), Vidika Sawant (not out 12), and Sreeshtika Shivarkar (10) were the only batters to reach double figures. For Baroda, Aadhya Patel was the standout bowler with four wickets. In the chase, Pratha Vanar (not out 17) and Naysha Tivari (not out 48) remained unbeaten and guided Baroda to victory. Goa's next match will be against Hyderabad on January 4.
