The Goa team suffered defeat on the second day of the three-day match of the Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite cricket tournament match played at the RDCA Ground in Raipur.
Karnataka defeated Goa by an innings and 147 runs. In reply to Goa's first-innings total of 160 all out, Karnataka declared their first innings at 434 for 6.
Karnataka then wrapped up Goa's second innings for 127 runs in 39 overs to register the victory. With this defeat, Goa's campaign came to an end. Goa suffered losses in all five of their matches in Group `D`.
