Goa Under-19 women suffered a nine-wicket defeat against Baroda in the Women’s Under-19 Trophy Elite cricket tournament at the Alur Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru.
After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Baroda restricted Goa to 81 for six in 20 overs with disciplined bowling. Usma Khan top-scored for Goa with 34 runs, while Joya Meer contributed 22. Vidhi Parmar led Baroda’s bowling effort with three wickets, while Akshara Tiwari claimed two.
In reply, Baroda chased down the target of 82 in just 5.4 overs, reaching 83 for one. Opener Trisha Patel led the charge with an unbeaten 49 off 21 balls, hitting seven fours and three sixes. Naysha Tivari remained unbeaten on 21 as Baroda completed a comprehensive victory.
