Goa Medical College, Bambolim and St Xavier’s College, Mapusa emerged champions in the men’s and women’s sections respectively at the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Table Tennis Championships 2026-27, held at the Sports Authority of Goa’s Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Peddem, Mapusa, from August 10 to 12.
In the women’s final, St Xavier’s College defeated V M Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar 3-1. Anushri Naik beat Simran Kanekar 3-0, Khushi Naik defeated Davia Pinto 3-0 and Ridhima Naik beat Arya Nadkarni 3-0. Anushri then completed the win with a 3-0 victory over Khushi.
In the men’s final, Goa Medical College defeated V M Salgaocar College of Law 3-1. Swayam Chodankar beat Rajnish Kumar 3-1, while Aadvik Panandikar defeated Amogh Bawachikar 3-0. Darin Fernandes then beat Aman Shirgaonkar 3-1 before Panandikar defeated Chodankar 3-2 to seal the title.
In the women’s semi-finals, V M Salgaocar College of Law defeated Goa Medical College 3-0, while St Xavier’s College beat Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science 3-0. In the men’s semi-finals, Goa Medical College defeated Padre Conceicao College of Engineering 3-0, while V M Salgaocar College of Law edged Dempo Charities Trust’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce and Economics 3-2.
Panandikar was named Best Player in the men’s section, while Anushri Naik received the women’s award.
A total of 39 men’s teams and 30 women’s teams participated in the three-day championship.
