Goa’s Arif Khan won a bronze medal in traditional Yogasana sports event at the 6th Khelo India Youth Games held at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Arif is presently studying in Standard VIII at Dattaram Mantrawadi High School, Mapusa and is training at Yoga Seva Mangal Pratishthan Yogasana coaching center at Mapusa under coach Vishal Gawas.
Three Goan yogasana players - Arif Khan, Rashmi Navelkar and Vidhyaat Lotlikar - who had earlier won medals at the 4th Sub Junior National held at Punjab had participated at the 6th Khelo India Youth Games.
The team was led by Team Manager Rashmi Navelkar and Chef de Mission (CDM) Dr. Vivek Pawar from Sports Authority of Goa.
Arif Khan was appreciated by SAG Executive Director Dr Geeta Nagvenkar for his achievement.
