Johan Pinto of Goa won the first place in the U-16 category at the third edition of the Pioneering Ventures Tri Kids Goa 2017 triathlon organised by Enduro Sports Goa, at Peddem Sports Complex in Mapusa on Sunday.
Pinto was one of five school-going Goan triathletes who secured podium finishes in the event.
As many as 110 young participants from Goa and across India took part in the event which had them swimming, cycling and running in quick succession.
The event which was held in support of the Sethu Centre for Child Development was graced by the presence of Ironman triathlete Pablo Erat of Switzerland, who is four-time winner of the Goa Triathlon.
