Goa held Vidarbha to a draw in the All-India Under-16 J.Y. Lele Invitational Cricket Tournament (two-day matches) at the Infipro Sports Academy Ground in Baroda.
Vidarbha failed to bowl Goa out within the stipulated overs in the second innings. However, Vidarbha were declared winners on their first-innings lead. After Goa were bowled out for 108 in their first innings, Vidarbha reached 4 for 177 by the end of the opening day, taking a 69-run lead.
Goa eventually dismissed Vidarbha for 233 in 62.2 overs. Mrunal Naik was the pick of the Goa bowlers with 4 for 65, while Shaurya Chodankar claimed 3 for 65. Vedant Aigal took two wickets and Harsh Nain one.
In their second innings, Goa finished on 7 for 108 in 64 overs. Ishant Tivarekar top-scored with 30, while captain Abhijay Kalangutkar made 26. Tanisk Naik, unbeaten on 13 off 56 balls, and Vedant Aigal, unbeaten on 6 off 48 balls, ensured Vidarbha could not force a win.
