MARGAO
Cuncolim Educational Society, along with CES College of Arts and Commerce, successfully conducted the 2nd Oscar Memorial Run Cross Country inter-collegiate race.
The distance of the race was 5.2km.
A total of six teams of 5 runners, each participating at the race.
Government College of Quepem secured the first place in the team championship while
Shree MalikaArjun and Shri Chetan Manju Dessai College, Canacona secured the second place. CES College had to settle for third place.
In the individual runners category, Santosh Ramu Yedge of Goa Multi Faculty College won the first placewith time of 18.08 seconds. Suraj Velip secured second place while Milfort Pexiote finished third.
The team championship winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 7,000 with a rolling trophy. The second place received Rs 5,000 with trophy. The third place gor cash prize of 3,000 plus trophy.
MLA Subhash Phal Dessai was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
