MARGAO: Guardian Angel SC prevailed over Sporting Club of Davorlim 6-5 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi final of the Gold Silver inter village football tournament played at Rosary church ground, Navelim, on Tuesday.
SC Davorlim through Micky Furtado should have netted but the goalkeeper of Guardian Angel SC was equal to the task. In the fifth minute, Preston Fernandes of Guardian Angel. It was Sahil Imandar who netted the first goal of the matchfor Sporting Club of Davorlim in the 19th minute. As the match progresed, in the second half, Cyril Dias of Guardian Angel equalised in the 51st minute.
In the tie-breaker, Guardian Angel SC proved to be better shooters.
The man of the match was awarded to Cyril Dias of Guardian Angel SC which was given by Gabby Fernandes.
