Guardian Angel SC Curchorem stormed into the semifinals of the St Sebastian Football Tournament with a commanding 4-0 win over CRC Chinchinim at the St John the Baptist Panchayat Ground.
Curchorem made a blistering start, scoring twice in the 5th and 6th minutes to take an early stranglehold on the contest. The quick double setback left Chinchinim struggling to find their rhythm, though they regrouped to keep the deficit at two goals going into the break.
Guardian Angel continued to control proceedings after the restart, maintaining constant pressure on the Chinchinim defence. CRC fought to get back into the contest but were repeatedly denied by a disciplined Curchorem backline and an assured performance from goalkeeper Mickey Dias.
Frazer Gomes then put the result beyond doubt with two quick goals in the 41st and 46th minutes, completing his hat-trick and sealing a convincing victory for Guardian Angel.
