Goa went down by 10 runs to Hyderabad in the opening match of BCCI senior women’s T20 league at the MBB Stadium, Agartala, on Wednesday.
Goa won the toss and put Hyderabad into bat. Riding on a three-wicket haul by Sunanda Yetrekar, Goa restricted their rivals to 107/8 in the allotted 20 overs. Rupali Chavan picked up two wickets. Anitha K was the top scorer for Hyderabad with 37 runs.In reply, Goa could only manage to score 97/9 in 20 overs. Nikita (22), Shrey (21), Bharati Gaonkar (14) and Sanjula Naik (12) failed to make substantial contributions and guide their side to victory. Apart from Hyderabad, Goa has Punjab, Karnataka, J&K and Tripura for company in the group. Goa will face Punjab on Thursday.
