Ivana scored 7 points out of 9 rounds. Seeded second in the tournament, she remained undefeated, winning 5 games and drawing 4 matches to secure her second gold at the Asian meet, where she had won in 2013. She has also won a bronze and a silver there in the past.
Ivana defeated top seed WFM Alinasab Mobino (2226) of Iran in the seventh round. She also defeated Hotombi Mutriba (TJK), Manar Khalil (Syr), Hashemi Fatemeh (Iran), and Mahadian Anousha (Iran). She drew with her team-mates Meghna C H, Bidhar Rutumbara, Harshita Guddanti and Alijanzadeh Mohadeseh (Iran). Her team-mates Meghna C M and Rutumbara Bidhar stood second and third respectively as India took all the medals in this standard format of the chess tournament.
Ivana will be conferred with the WGM norm for her achievement in this event. She has already secured one WGM Norm and her second norm at International Masters in Kolkata is yet to be confirmed by FIDE. TGN
