Kewal Tamhankar had a good outing, winning both the Men’s and Youth Boys singles titles to clinch a double crown at the 8th Late Ramacanta VP Dharwatkar Memorial All Goa table tennis tournament organised by Panjim Table Tennis Club in collaboration with the Sports Authority of Goa, at Indoor
Stadium, Campal.
Nikhil Jadhav in Men’s and Pranav Naik in Youth had to be contended with the runners-up spots in the tournament which is held annually to promote upcoming players, in the memory of Late Ramacanta Dharwatkar, a former distinguished State table tennis champion. Rishan Sheikh (Mini Cadets), Aaron Farias (Cadets), Aaron Colaco (Sub Junior), and Vedant Kulkarni (Junior) were the other notable winners while Yatharth Baliyan, Fynn Gonsalves, Nathan Barua and Anish Verlekar emerged as runners-up in mini cadets, cadets, sub junior and junior boys singles categories respectively.
Promising player prizes were awarded to Swayam Chodankar and Sankalp Kavlekar in the Boys section.
