VASCO
In all 35 teams participated in the event and Mormugao Taluka saw highest amount of participants from all zones. The inaugural function was attended by Vasco MLA Carlos Almeda, Mormugao Municipal Chairman Deepak Naik and councillors, Yatin Kamurlekar, Hoppie Fredrick Henriques, Gourish Mardolkar and Reema Sonurlekar, who is also the in-charge and coordinator of Mormugao Zone for Khelo Bharat Kabaddi tournament.
At the event, demonstration of malkhamb and rope malkhamb was given by the students of Shradanand Vidhyalaya, Painguinim and Saraswati Vidhyalaya Priol. Amey Chopdekar Boys of Mangor Hill won the boys tournament while 7 Star from Sada won the girls tournament. The prize distribution was done by South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, in the presence of Bhaavesh S Jambaulikar, National Executive Member, and State Yuva Morcha Secretary, Pranav Sanvordekar.
