Goa's Darwin Baretto/Kishore Raghubans (Men's Doubles 45+) and Kanji Brothers - Sandip and Kamlesh (Men’s Doubles 40+) have moved into the second round of the All India Masters Ranking Badminton Tournament underway at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor stadium, Navelim. Darwin has also moved into the next round in 45+ Mixed Doubles along with his partner Supriya Pai Kuchelkar.
On day five of the tournament, the matches in the categories of 35+ to 50+ age brackets commenced here 700+ players will be in action through the week, competing for a berth in BWF World Seniors Championships in Spain.
After an excellent performance in the senior age bracket of 55+ to 75+ age groups where Goan shuttlers won a rich haul of medals, Goa will pin its hopes on India number one ranked players, Sandhya Melasheemi and Kanji Brothers along with Amit Kakkar/Vishal Vernekar to add to their medal haul.
