MCC Masters and MCC Tigers notched victories in their respective matches of the ongoing MCL 11 T20 tournament played at the MCC Ground, Margao.
In the morning Match MCC Masters won by 4 wickets. Batting first, MCC Stallions posted 134/8 in the allotted 20 overs. Dr. Ankush Patil top-scored with 34, while Rueben Karekar and Infancio Correia chipped in with 28 runs each.
For MCC Masters, Angad Painginkar bowled a brilliant spell, returning figures of 2/16 and was well supported by Mishra Anand (1/15) and Dr. Satyesh Kamat (1/10).
In reply, MCC Masters overhauled the target in just 12.1 overs, scoring 135/6. Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar led the chase with a fluent 32, while Dr. Sunny (28) and Vishwesh Kamat (27) contributed valuable runs.
Govind Gaonkar was the pick of MCC Stallions bowlers with 3/45. also Nikhil Virginkar pick 2 wickets for 26 runs. Man of the Match award adjudged to Angad Painginkar.
In afternoon Match MCC Tigers win by 3 wickets. Earlier, MCC Royals put up 141/9 in 20 overs. Vijay struck 32 while Aditya Prabhugaonkar added 20. MCC Tigers bowlers bowled in disciplined partnerships with Viraj Tar claiming 3/20, Nikit Naik Dalal 2/25 and Mrunmay Das 2/18.
In response, MCC Tigers successfully chased down the target in 15.4 overs, finishing at 142/7. Nikit Naik Dalal impressed with a crucial 40 and was supported by Chaitanya Kamat (37) and Rajaram Kundaikar (20).
For MCC Royals, Abhishek Goyal, Aditya Prabhugaonkar, Aditya Angle and Shailesh Redkar took a wicket each. Man of the Match award adjudged to Nikit Naik Dalal.
