The Mr. Goa 2024 bodybuilding championship concluded with Infinity Gym Margao dominating the competition, culminating in Rajat Mayekar securing the Champion of Champions title. Held at the Football Ground, Mardol, on February 23rd, 2024, the event, organised by Mahakal Fitness Studio and United Sports Club Mardol in collaboration with the Goa Body Builders Association (GBBA), showcased the state's top talents across various categories.
The competition featured six categories ranging from 55kg to above 75kg, including Men’s Physique Championship and Inter-Collegiate Bodybuilding categories. Notable winners emerged across various divisions, showcasing their dedication and hard work in the realm of bodybuilding and fitness.
In the Inter-Collegiate Men’s Physique category, Pratik Gawas from Don Bosco College secured the top position in the "Above 170 cm" division, while Adarsh Parwar from Goa Polytechnic Panjim claimed victory in the "Up to 170 cm" category.
In the Body Building Inter-Collegiate category, athletes from various colleges exhibited their strength. Mark Dias from National Academy Margao clinched the title in the Below 55 kg category, while Prajwal Salgaonkar from ITI Borda emerged victorious in the 60 kg to 70 kg division.
Additionally, the Men’s Physique Open Category saw Abhijit Naik from Elite Fitness triumph in the Up to 170 cm category, and Ajay Dessai from Hydra Fitness Curchorem secured the top spot in the Above 170 cm division.
The event's inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed guests including Chief Guest Sunil Bhomkar, Veling ZP Damodar Naik, and Mardol Police Inspector Ragoba Kamat, among others. A large audience added grandeur to the event, which attracted a total of 90 athletes vying for victory.
The judging panel, comprising Mahendra Dessai, Satya Naik, and others, evaluated the participants' performances.
