Aston's first half strike separated the two teams. Both the teams started the match on equal footing. Temba's Kenned tried his luck from the half line mark but Camribhat keeper managed to hold onto the ball well. In the 11th minute, Temba's Kevin came close to scoring when he headed corner kick taken by Kenned but much to his dismay the ball hit the post and went out for a goal kick. Minutes later, Temba's Aston scored to give his side 1-0 lead. Aston smashed in a free kick from the centreline giving no chance for Camribhatt goalkeeper. Post resumption, Temba's Kenned had a go at goal but his effort was saved by Camribhat keeper Dattaraj. Temba's Augistin tried a right footer but Carmibhat's Dattaraj made yet another save. Camribhat's Yogesh had the first shot for his team but Temba custodian, who was hardly tested in the 1st half made a wonderful save.
Aashrun Gautam will meet Yash Kunkolienker while Tanisha Crasto will battle it out with Anjana Kumari in the Under-19 Boys and Girls singles finals respectively at the 4th All Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament organised by Goa Badminton Association in collaboration with Goa Badminton Association and SAG, at Multipurpose Hall, Fatorda.
