The Goan Body Builders Association (GBBA) team achieved success at the recent 57th Mr India Senior National Body Building Championship held at Patna-Bihar on March 25-26.
Vishant Gaude has secured the bronze medal in the 80kg category, while Nandesh Raikar secured 5th place in the 75kg category. Both the athletes were accompanied by SAG coaches Santosh Mapsekar and Ravi Dessai along with General Secretary (GBBA) Viresh Hiremath.
Speaking to media upon their arrival at Goa airport on Monday evening, SAG Coach Santosh Mapsekar said the achievement was a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of the Goan athletes.
"We also want to congratulate the coaching staff who trained and supported them tirelessly under the leadership of GBBA President and Vasco MLA Krishna Daji Salkar. Their efforts have brought glory to Goa, and we have been made proud by their success," said Mapsekar.
Mohiz Khan, Organising Secretary of the Goan Body Builders Association (GBBA), extended a warm welcome to the team, along with Goan athletes and fans, who had gathered at the Goa airport to receive them.
"It is indeed a proud moment for Goa and we look forward to celebrating their success and supporting them in their future endeavours,” said Khan.
