Nuvem Veterans beat Panjim Veterans 5-3 via tiebreaker to march into the final of All Goa Assolda Veterans football tournament organized by Assolda Veterans at Quepem Sports Complex, Borimol, Quepem. The match was goalless at full time.
Both the teams displayed attacking brand of soccer and kept the crowds on their toes. Both sides had equal number of scoring chances but failed to beat the either goalkeeper. Crossing over, both the teams showed urgency and went all out but rival defenders rose to the occasion to protect their citadel. At the fag end, both the teams went all out in search of match winner but goal eluded them. Nuvem Veterans had the last laugh in the tiebreaker.
In the first semi-final, Fatorda Veterans prevailed over Chinchinim Veterans 5-4 via tiebreaker after both the teams were locked in a goalless draw at the end of normal period. Nuvem Veterans will clash with Fatorda Veterans in the final on May 1 at 7 pm.
