Parth Kamat won Ponda taluka level rapid chess tournament for primary school children, organised by Brilliant Brain Chess Academy in association with Ponda Taluka Chess Association (PTCA) at Devi Bhagwati Chimulkarin Devasthan

Ishaan Timble, Avnish Borkar, Shreyas Murkumbi, Atharv Shirodkar, Vrujesh Hande, Pushti Bhonsle, Shubham Savaikar, Rohit Bharadwaj and Arush Naik secured second to 10th place respectively.
Vardhan Govekar, Spruha Jalmi, Saideep Naik, Pratik Gaude, Chirag Gawas, Ved Shivrekar, Jayesh Parab, Deepraj Naik, Sharmad Manerikar and Shreyash Naik secured 11th to 20th place respectively.
Soumitri Abhiskheki secured the Youngest Player prize. Amogh Namshiker, President of PTCA was the Chief Arbiter of the tournament.
The certificates and trophies were distributed by chief guest Dr Narayan Desai, Ex-Principal, SS Angle HSS, Mashem, in the presence of Sagar Sakordekar, Amogh Namshiker, Mahesh Khedekar, Dr Rajdatta Timble and Pramod Kamat. Preeti Kamat compered and Pramod Kamat proposed vote of thanks. Sachin Gaude, Prashant Chodankar, Nitinchandra Dighe, Ramkrishna Hande and Avaneeshwar Guin took active part in conducting the tournament.
