Police personnel in charge of security for the upcoming Hero Indian Super League matches visited Nehru Stadium, Fatorda on Monday evening to check the arrangements. They were pleased with the same.
"The organizers made a presentation to us and we are pleased. Whatever they have done till now is really good," said a source, adding that the police suggested strong barricading at the gate and also listed out certain measures that needed to be implemented so as to ensure that security was watertight. The purpose of the visit by the police personnel was to review the security arrangement
at the ISL venue which will host seven home matches of local franchise FC Goa. The first one is slated for this Sunday (Oct 4).
Earlier, FC Goa had a meeting with top police officials including Shekar Prabhudessai, South Goa SP, Dhanraj Govekar, Margao DySP.
