DM’s PVS Kushe Assagao won the overall championship in boys as well as girls under-19 category at 42nd State level athletic championship, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Alister Dsouza created new meet records in 100m sprint with a timing of 10.9sec and 200m run with a timing of 22.04sec. Hrutvej Parab created new meet records in 110m hurdles with a timing of 15.4sec and 400m hurdles with a timing of 57.5sec. Jafer sadik created a new meet record in hammer throw with a distance of 38.93m, while Shital Jadhav created a new meet record in girls hammer throw with a distance of 31.83m. Shiphali Naik created a new meet record for 3km walk.
In the girls category PVS Kushe scored 51 points with 8 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. In boys category, they scored 43 points with 7 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze.
