MARGAO: Quepem Veterans advanced to the next round of the 1st All Goa Late Alvernaz & Lalush Memorial Veterans Football Tournament after defeating Fatrade Veterans 3-1 at the Varca SC ground.
Agnel Colaco was the star for Quepem Veterans, scoring twice, while Rosario Carvalho added the other goal. Peter Fernandes scored Fatrade Veterans’ lone goal.
The teams were locked 1-1 at half-time, but Quepem Veterans raised their game after the break to seal a convincing 3-1 victory.
Quepem Veterans will face Carmel Veterans in the next round. The tournament is organised by the Youth of Fatrade.
