MARGAO: Raia Sporting Club defeated CRC Chinchinim 3-1 via the penalty shootout to book their place in the quarter-finals of the 45th Gold Silver Rolling Trophy Football Tournament, organised by Navelim Sporting Club at Rosary Church Ground, Navelim, on Saturday.
With the match ending goalless, the result was decided through a penalty shootout. Achilles Fernandes, Sneeden Vaz and Sydney Gauncar converted for Raia Sporting Club, while Om Raikar was the only successful taker for CRC Chinchinim.
Raia Sporting Club’s Eloy Vaz was named Player of the Match.
