MARGAO: Raia Sporting Club stormed into the semi-finals of the 36th St Anne's Inter-Village Football Tournament 2026 with a convincing 3-0 victory over Sai Avatar Anjuna at the Animal Husbandry Ground, Curti, Ponda, on Sunday.
Sydney Gaunkar starred for Raia, netting the tournament's first hat-trick with all three goals coming in the second half to seal an emphatic win. His clinical finishing ensured Raia booked their place in the last four in style.
Raia will now face the winners of the final quarter-final between Don Bosco Oratory (Fatorda) and FC Siolim.
Sydney Gaunkar was named Man of the Match. The award was presented by Prakash Borkar.
