MARGAO: Rosman Cruz Nagoa Verna shunted out CDJ Ribandar 7-6 via the tiebreaker to move into the of the semi-finals of Late Musa Ali Aga football tournament organised by Eagle Sports Club at Sankhali Municipal ground on Tuesday. The teams were tied 3-3 at full time.
Rosman Cruz Nagoa opened the scoring in the 2nd minute through the boots of Jesloy Moniz . The early success helped Verna team to launch a barrage of attacks and striker Viajl Rego doubled the lead in the 28th minute.
Down 0-3, the Ribandar team went all out and reduced the margin when Minesh Kunkolikar converted s spot kick. Post resumption, Salo Santos reduced the deficit in the 52nd minute and Jayendra Kunalkar neutralised the lead late in the second half.
In the tiebreaker,
Wilson fernandes, Eusebio Fernandes, Wilson Fernandes and Jesloy Moniz netted for Rossman while Gautam Dias, Rohan Shirodkar, Krishnanath Shirodkar found the mark for CDJ Ribandar.
