Saligao United Sports Club moved into the quarter-finals of Calangute Panchayat Soccer Cup, organised by Calangute Association, with a 4-3 tie-breaker win over Dunes Sports Club at Poriat grounds, here on Friday.
In an equally-contested match, both teams knowing each other’s style of play, did not give any room for the strikers to have a clear look at their respective goal.
Finally the match ended in a goalless draw and the winners had to be decided via tie-breaker.
Saligao United got their goals through Nikhil Naik, Jayesh Chopdekar, Jayganesh Goltekar and Trevor Dias; while for Dunes, Jason Fernandes, Alberto Britto and Myson Britto scored.
