Navhind Publications will clash with Tarun Bharat in the finals of inter-media nine-a-side football tournament at Don Bosco HS ground, Panaji, on Saturday at 4.30 pm. The tournament has been organised by Sports Journalists Association of Goa in collaboration with Don Bosco Oratory, GFDC and Sporting Clube de Goa.
Navhind beat Times of India 2-0 in the penalty shoot-out after both teams failed to score in regulation time in the first semi-finals. Navhind goalkeeper Aniruddha Raul was adjudged man-of-the match.
In the second semi-finals, Tarun Bharat and Lokmat were locked goalless at full time. Tarun Bharat converted their penalties and won 2-0. Tarun Bharat’s Anil Kalekar was named man-of-the match.
