VALPOI: Shri Hanuman Vidyalaya student Samarth Nevgi won the gold medal in the 60-metre race at the 37th West Zone Junior Athletics Championship 2026 at Atal Stadium, Bambolim.
Samarth produced a strong sprint to finish first in the event. His performance came after regular training under the guidance of the school’s physical education teacher Pandurang Gaonkar.
Headmistress Meghna Mandrekar, president Narhari Haldankar, manager Devesh Pednekar, teaching staff and school members congratulated Samarth on his achievement.
