Sporting Clube de Goa registered a thumping 5-1 win over Vasco Sports Club in a Goa Professional League match
organised by GFA and played at Duler ground on
Wednesday.
Vasco coach Micky Fernandes made four changes in his starting XI by fielding Myron Pereira,
Moises D’Sa, Denvil Fernandes and Shubham Dessai while for Sporting Clube de Goa coach Mateus Costa
fielded Egyptian Fady Riad and Suresh Thapa in his
starting XI.
With this win, Sporting has accumulated 16 points while Vasco stays put on 10 points.
Vasco SC broke the deadlock in the 19th minute through the boots of Hussain Pinjar.
However, once Sporting got their act together, they looked unstoppable and scored through Marcus
Mascarenhas (33rd min, 69th min) Victorino
Fernandes 49th min, 83rd min) and Cajetan Fernandes (47th min).
