MARGAO
St. Francis Xavier High School, Bhatpal, Canacona, produced an impressive performance at the Canacona Taluka-Level Cluster 12 Karate Championship, with all six participating students qualifying for the State-Level Competition.
The school returned with a haul of two gold, one silver and one bronze medal, while two other students secured qualification for the state-level event through their participation.
Sani Saieesh Bhandari and Fawzia Pereira clinched first place in their respective categories. Ahmad Dukandar secured the silver medal after finishing second, while Rehan Dukandar claimed bronze by finishing third.
Vipra Pai Khot and Mufeeza Dukandar also earned qualification for the State-Level Competition.
The young karatekas celebrated their achievement alongside the TSO, officials, parents and Physical Education Teacher Nehal Komarpant.
