Sharada Mandir, Miramar thrashed Fr Agnel, Pilar by 279 runs in a U-14 inter school President Cup, Tiswadi Taluka match organised by GCA played at University ground, Taleigao on Saturday.
Put in to bat, Sharada Mandir posted a mammoth 321/5 from the allotted 40 overs. While Smit Dalvi top-scored with 52 (38b), Viraditya Salgaonkar 48* (58b) and Prathamesh Naik 40*(31b) made significant contributions. In the Fr Agnel attack, Shyamsundar Manohar had the best returns of 2/59.
Replying to the imposing total, the Pilar-based side fell like nine pins to be all out for a mere 42. Rajesh Ghotne with an unbeaten 15 was the only batsman to offer some resistance. Prathamesh Naik, Arav Shinde and Manas Keluskar all snapped up two wickets each for the eventual victors.
