St Rock's dominated the game right from the word go and never allowed their opponents to strike rhythm and called the shots against the rival citadel.
Persistent forays paid off as in the 27th minute, striker
Alphon Pathan rocked the
rival citadel with a neat shot.
Stung by that setback, St Anthony's intensified their
attacks and fired a couple of shots but rival defenders stood tall in protecting their citadel.
Crossing over, St Rock's continued to enjoy better ball possession. However, St Anthony's Francis Pawaskar cancelled the lead. Couple of minutes later, St Anthony's suffered a jolt when Joel Rodrigues was ejected by the referee and they were reduced to 10 men.
St Rock's made the most of the numerical advantage and raided the rival goal.
Flezbern Ferrao regained the lead in the 57th minute. The 2-1 lead helped St Rock's up their ante and pushed their opponents on the back foot.
In the 64th minute, Ismael Pathan increased their tally. Flezbern fired the final one late in the second half and scored a brace to troop out worthy winners.
