Cuncolim Union will be organizing a two-week summer coaching camp starting from Tuesday, April 19, at Cuncolim Union Sports Complex at 7 am.
The camp will be held in different age group categories starting from Under-10 to Under-15, informed organizers of the event.
Some of the leading coaches from the state like former India international and Vasco Sports Club coach Micky Fernandes along with other leading coaches from Cuncolim and surrounding areas will be helping the Cuncolim club during the coaching camp.Former Cuncolim Union player Khabir Moraes, now a social activist and a renowned chef, will also be helping the coaches during the coaching programme. “This is the start of a long term youth development which Cuncolim Union has in mind. We will work in close cooperation with the schools of Cuncolim and the physical education teachers of the area. We will also take on board the head of institutions and PE teachers of Balli, Cotta, Fatorpa so that the talent hunt is spread far and wide,” said Suraj Ambe, former Cuncolim Union player and President of Cuncolim Union Suraj Ambe.
