The competition will be held on August 23 at Pai Tiatrist JoaoAgostinho Fernandes Auditorium, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao from 10 am to 2 pm. Theaim of organising the inter school competition of dance on Konkani songs on thetopics of patriotism/national integration/communal harmony is to make effortsto inculcate these same values in children.
Each participating group should consist of not less than 6 dancersand not more than 10 dancers.
The participating group will have to provide a recorded CD containingthe song based on which the group is going to perform on the day of the event.
The participating schools will be provided with transport chargesdepending on the distance of the school from the venue of competition,refreshments, and awards for the winners as well as certificates for allparticipants.
Interested schools are requested to confirm their participation inthe competition by filling the prescribed Application Form available in theoffice of the TAG and sending the same so as to reach the office of the TAG onor before August 17.
The following prizes will be awarded:
(a) Performance
1st Prize “ Rs. 7000/-
2nd Prize “ Rs. 5000/-
3rd Prize “ Rs. 3000/-
(b) Best Choreographer “ Rs 2000/-
(c) All prizes will also include mementos and certificates
(d) All participants will be given participation certificates
A total of 30 participating troupes will be permitted in thecompetition on first come first serve basis.
