Earlier, CGC 2 and Ambelim B battled to a thrilling 1“1 draw in the men’s Group B encounter.
The day began with a captivating Group B clash that ended all square. CGC 2 took the lead through Ivan Fernandes in the 22nd minute, his composed finish putting them ahead. Ambelim B hit back in the 33rd minute with a well-crafted equalizer. Both sides pressed hard for a late winner, but solid defending ensured they shared the points. Fernandes’ leadership and goal earned him the Man of the Match award.
In a tense Group D fixture, Tarivaddo B secured a narrow 1“0 victory over Banda thanks to a 23rd-minute strike from Mark Cardozo. Banda mounted several attacks in search of an equalizer, but Tarivaddo B’s backline held firm. Cardozo’s decisive goal and all-round display saw him named Man of the Match.
Tarivaddo Women delivered a strong performance to beat Orel 3“1. Sania, Valency, and Erica were on target for the winners, showcasing excellent coordination and accuracy. Orel’s Angela netted a consolation goal, continuing her fine scoring run, but Tarivaddo’s superior play ensured full points.
In the final match of the day, Bainaque/Bairo Premeiro recorded a hard-fought 2“1 victory over Mulleavaddo. Goals from Namita and Serafina gave the winners control, while Cherie pulled one back for Mulleavaddo from the penalty spot. Despite late pressure, Bainaque/Bairo Premeiro held firm to seal the win.
