In an emotional attack on the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), former captain Dwayne Bravo has said that "too much politics is killing our cricket".
"We've got the players to be up there with the best in the world but there's a lot of things going on. Too much politics is killing our cricket. Those in charge have to look into themselves. We don't have proper grounds, proper nets or a proper academy. All these things are a part of our downfall," the 32-year-old was quoted as saying in the Cricket Australia website.
"The relationship between players, board members and management staff - it needs to get stronger and tighter. They need to have a lot more honesty. There's a lot of dishonest people in charge at the moment."
Once considered the ultimate force in world cricket, West Indies cricket are seen going through a free-fall in it's stature and rankings, with it's board WICB in a constant wrangle with the players over many issues, including monetary.
The team's miserable run continued on Australia, losing the first of the three-Test Frank Worrell Trophy series to Australia by 122 runs, inside three days in Hobart.
Bravo, one of the finest all-rounders of the game, was stripped of the West Indies ODI captaincy a year ago and then was left out of the World Cup squad, after he players on a strike and quit a one-day tour of India in October 2014. He retired from Test cricket in January.
He will turn up for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League.
