Riding on Aldrich Coelho's brace, hosts United Club of Telaulim registered a fluent 6-2 win over Varca Sports Club and marched into the semi-final of All Goa Telaulim Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament organized by United Club of Telaulim at Panchayat grounds, Telaulim on Tuesday. United Club of Telaulim led 3-1 at half time.
United Club of Telaulim dominated both the sessions and pushed their opponents on the back foot.Aldrich Coelho who was in the thick of action struck second time to give his team a 2-0 cushion.
Spurred by the double success, United Club of Telaulim upped the ante and midway in the first half Avlon Gomes inflated the tally. Down by 0-3, Varca Sports Club went all out and managed to score the consolation goal through the boots of Dennis Fernandes.
Crossing over, United Club of Telaulim continued to enjoy the better share of exchanges with Alister Gomes adding his name on the scorers' list. Alvito Colaco and Dalwin D'Costa pumped two more goals for the winners to put them in comfortable position. Tennyson Rocha reduced the deficit at the fag end.
