MARGAO: United Boys Ambaulim defeated United Club Verna 2-0 to move into the next round of the 43rd St Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup at Areal ground on Sunday.
Cyril Dias put Ambaulim ahead in the 11th minute, while Julius Carvalho doubled the lead in the 35th minute to complete the victory.
Carvalho was named Man of the Match. The award was presented by Curtorim Gymkhana president Arnold Costa.
