Vasco’s Shikha Pathak has brought pride to the city and Goa after being selected to represent India as a referee at the prestigious Jujutsu 2026 Thailand Open Grand Prix.
The international event is scheduled to be held from September 1 to 6 at Ayutthaya in Thailand, bringing together talented jujutsu athletes and officials from across the world. Pathak’s selection as an Indian referee marks a significant achievement and places Vasco on the international jujutsu map.
Her appointment is a recognition of her experience, knowledge and dedication to the sport. Being chosen to officiate at an international-level competition is considered a major responsibility, with referees playing a crucial role in ensuring that matches are conducted fairly and according to established rules.
