31 cyclists complete Tri Goa’s 400km BRM cycle ride

Thirty-one cyclists completed Tri Goa’s 400km Brevets Randonneur Mondiaux (BRM) endurance cycle ride in the stipulated 27 hours. 

In a media release issued on Thursday, Rajesh Malhotra, founder, Tri Goa Foundation said that the cyclists had started the ride from Panaji at 0600 hrs on Saturday, December 19, Goa’s Liberation Day and had cycled the Panaji-Loutolim-Margao-Karwar-Kumta-Honnavar route and returned via the Karmal Ghat-Cavelossim-Cansaulim-Dabolim-Panaji route within 27 hours. 

The release said that all successful cyclists will be presented with an international medal and certification from the Audax Club Parisien (ACP), France. This Brevet de Randonneur Mondiaux (BRM) was the 3rd part of the coveted Super Randonneur title where cyclists have to complete a distance of 200, 300, 400 and 600kms in one calendar year. 

Tri Goa is an affiliate club of Audax Club Parisien (ACP), France and Audax India Randonneurs (AIR) and conducts the BRM cycle rides of distances up to 1400kms.

The BRM 200kms and a Brevet Populaire 100kms is scheduled for Sunday, January 10, 2021. Those interested can contact ‘[email protected]’ or message 7447724744 to participate.
