Rossman Cruz beat DBO Fatorda 2-0 in the 32nd Super Cup inter-village football tournament at St John the Baptist Ground, Dando Benaulim on Friday.
The first half witnessed both teams playing well, with Rossman Cruz dominating possession, but no goals were scored during this period. However, the second half saw a surge in pace as both teams aggressively sought to find the back of the net.
In the 40th minute, Joysten Pinto capitalized on a defensive error by Milder Soares from DBO Fatorda and scored the opening goal, giving Rossman Cruz the lead. Despite their best efforts to reduce the margin, DBO Fatorda struggled to find an equalizer. In the 50th minute, Savio Fernandes secured another goal for Rossman Cruz, further solidifying their advantage.
For his outstanding performance throughout the game, Eusebio Fernandes from Rossman Cruz was honoured with the Man of the Match award, presented by Manoj Kesarkar, the Panch of VP Benaulim.
