ABC Sports Club Arambol emerged victorious against Varad 7 in the 20th International 5-a-side Floodlight Beach Football Tournament at Arambol Beach. ABC Arambol triumphed with a scoreline of 4-3 in the tiebreaker.
In regulation time, Sahil and Latish scored crucial goals for Varad 7, while Dalwin Coelho's brace for ABC Arambol proved decisive in forcing a stalemate. In the intense tiebreaker, ABC Arambol demonstrated superior shooting abilities, securing their triumph.
The tournament, organized by the ABC Sports Club Arambol, attracted participation from 20 teams, adding to the excitement and competitive spirit of the event. Following the thrilling conclusion of the tournament, prizes were awarded to the deserving teams. ABC Sports Club Arambol claimed the top spot, earning the prestigious 1st prize of Rs 20,000 along with a well-deserved trophy. Varad 7, displaying commendable performance throughout the tournament, secured the 2nd prize of Rs 15,000, alongside a trophy.
Mandrem Police received recognition as the Best Disciplined Team, while Manuel Rodrigues from ABC Arambol was honoured as the Best Defender.
The prizes were presented by Inacio Daniel Dsouza, Chairman of ABC Sports Club Arambol, along with other dignitaries. A vote of thanks was extended by Paul Rodrigues, President of ABC Sports Club Arambol.
